The idea for curating this show arose from an interest in the way my relationship with reading has become an integral part of my history, as an artist and otherwise. I identify parts of myself as having been formed or influenced by different writers and books. This has not been specific to fiction or non-fiction, poetry, critical theory or any one genre but all of these and others at different times.
I am curious about the way we choose certain paths or are aroused by different areas of knowledge. When does knowledge become embodied? How do we navigate our way through available archives? and in what way do we present our findings as an expression of self.
